Litter neighbourhood typology

How do we tackle litter? The so called "Mooimakers" are constantly looking for new campaigns to set up to raise awareness in order to reduce litter.

In collaboration with IDEA Consult, VITO developed maps identifying different neighbourhood types where significant differences in the composition and quantity of litter are expected to be found (e.g. the surroundings of schools, parking lots, …).

These insights allow to develop thematic approaches for significantly different neighbourhood types.
