Georg’s experience lies in land-use modelling, with a focus on the human dimensions of urban growth and urban–rural transitions. His work examines how socio-economic processes drive land-use change, segregation, and spatial inequality in both European and African contexts. He currently develops agent-based models to explore future built environments and support fair and equitable spatial planning in Flanders.
